Miftahul Uloom
Miftahul Uloom was established in 1998 and is operational since. Miftahul Uloom was formally registered in 2009 under the guidance of experienced scholars, businessmen, academics and theologians. This partnership brings you a collective experience extending almost 100 years in the Islamic teaching field.
Trained Specialists
Our team consists of dedicated and qualified female educators and caregivers who are experienced in nurturing young Muslim girls. They are passionate about serving with sincerity (ikhlāṣ) and striving for excellence (iḥsān) in both education and character development.
Holistic Approach

Rather than teaching in isolation, we view learning, tarbiyah (upbringing), discipline, and personal development as interconnected. Our focus is on maintaining Islamic values, structured learning, sustainability, and consistent excellence in nurturing our students into confident and righteous individuals.
About Us
Miftahul Uloom Girls Medrassah commenced around 1998 and operated from the Coca Cola Warehouse in Kliptown. Many reverted Muslims attended the Madressah at the time.M
A concern manifested itself about the well-being of reverted students outside the madressah, when they return home to non-muslim environments.
A decision to accommodate the students on-site therefore emerged of which a house was acquired through a family sponsorship.
The house was located in Eldorado Park extension two The madressah was therefore officially opened in 2000 at which stage a few students were accommodated onsite.
As the circumstances of the Madressah changed, there was a need for the Madressah to move to different suitable venues.
These moves included a move to a bigger house in Eldorado Park in ext. 6, a further move to Zakariyya Park, later to another suitable house in Eldorado Park ext. 4.
The Madressah finally managed to secure a donated land at Unaville adjacent to Lenasia South.
Aalima Course
Our Madrasah offers a structured Aalima programme dedicated to nurturing knowledgeable, confident, and spiritually grounded Muslim women. Through authentic Islamic teachings, qualified instructors, and a supportive environment, we prepare students for a life of خدمة (service), leadership, and adherence to the Quran and Sunnah.
Quran & Tajweed Studies
Comprehensive recitation, memorisation, and Tajweed training to ensure correct and beautiful reading of the Quran.
Hadith & Fiqh
In-depth study of Hadith and Islamic jurisprudence, equipping students with practical knowledge for daily life and community guidance.
Arabic Language
Structured Arabic learning focusing on grammar, comprehension, and fluency to understand classical Islamic texts.
Aqeedah & Islamic Studies
Strengthening correct Islamic belief (Aqeedah) and building a solid foundation in essential Islamic sciences.
Akhlaq & Spiritual Development
Emphasis on character building, sincerity, and personal development to cultivate strong Islamic morals and identity.
Teaching & Community Preparation
Preparing students to teach, mentor, and serve within their communities with confidence, knowledge, and responsibility.
